She's one of the models at university. Somehow she's always the person I end up doing my best paintings of. Maybe it's because she's the easiest model to work with.
I am very impressed by the lighting Who says it's unfinished? I like this raw look it has The lamp itsself is a bit van Gogh style, colour-wise. Your brushstrokes are a lot smoother though and I like that a lot I am very fond of the hand and the cloth in the background.
Now, as far as unfinished, I say it's unfinished -- though not because of the raw look. That look is becoming part of my style -- everything I do has a lot of brushstroke and bright colour, and I'm glad that comes off well. And the light... interesting comparison to Van Gogh; it does seem like a colour he would use. I think it needs to be a bit brighter, though; right now her body seems to be the thing giving off light.
I like the hand and the background cloth, too. I think that and her face are my most successful areas.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
